Silver Airways, is a United States regional airline with its headquarters in Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in unincorporated Broward County, Florida, near Fort Lauderdale. It was founded in 2010 with assets from the former Gulfstream International Airlines
As the airline of choice for Florida and the Bahamas, Silver Airways operates more routes within Florida and between Florida and the Bahamas than any other airline. As Florida's First Airline still in operation, Silver averages nearly 125 daily flights to 17 destinations throughout Florida and the Bahamas. Silver’s fleet is comprised of 21 highly reliable and fuel-efficient 34-seat Saab 340B Plus turbo-prop aircraft and is expanding its fleet to include the world's leading regional aircraft, the new ATR-600 series. Silver is the North American launch customer for ATR's new technologically advanced aircraft. Silver is currently acquiring Seaborne Airlines to expand its reach throughout the Caribbean. Privately owned by Versa Capital, a Philadelphia-based investment firm, Silver has agreements with 11 airlines including a codeshare partnership with JetBlue, Avianca & United Airlines, in addition to interline agreements with American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Air Canada, Alaska Airlines, Bahamasair, Hahn Air, Azul and All Nippon Airways.
