About Envoy Air
Envoy Air Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of American Airlines Group, operating nearly 150 aircraft on about 800 daily flights to more than 140 destinations. With more than 14,000 employees, Envoy is the largest provider of regional flight service to American Airlines under the American Eagle brand and livery and ground handling services for more than 46,000 monthly AAG departures at 113 locations. Envoy is headquartered in Irving, Texas, with hubs in Dallas/Fort Worth, Chicago, Miami, and New York.
The company was founded in 1998 as American Eagle Airlines, Inc. following the merger of several smaller regional carriers to create one of the largest regional airlines in the world. On April 15, 2014 the company changed its name to Envoy Air Inc. to distinguish the company from the American Eagle brand, under which several carriers operate regional flight service for American.
American Airlines Group is the holding company for American Airlines, US Airways and Envoy. Together, the airlines operate an average of nearly 6,700 flights per day to 339 destinations in 54 countries.
