Job Description
Regional Express Holdings Limited is seeking a qualified and highly motivated individual to join its Sydney Airport Team as a Part-Time Customer Service Officer. Reporting to the Sydney Airport Manager, this role involves providing exceptional service and support to ensure a seamless experience for passengers at Sydney Airport.
As a Customer Service Officer, your responsibilities will include providing check-in services for Rex at Sydney Airport, managing reservations and ticket sales, and handling associated monetary transactions. You will perform pre- and post-flight duties, edit flight details, and manage sales reporting and recording functions. The role also involves assisting with the receipt and dispatch of aircraft and operating computer systems such as SABRE and Departure Control System (DCS).
Additional tasks include processing guests and maintaining the Rex Lounge, assisting customers with special needs, and managing passenger marshalling. You will support customers with damaged or lost baggage inquiries, ensure compliance with the company’s safety policy and standard operating procedures, and undertake other duties reasonably assigned by the Airport Manager.
Job Requirements
To qualify for this role, applicants must demonstrate a high degree of computer literacy and possess mandatory previous customer service experience. GDS experience is essential. Candidates must be eligible to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) and a Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate. The role requires availability for shift work, including early starts, evenings, and weekends.
Applicants should display strong teamwork skills and a commitment to on-time performance, along with well-developed written and oral communication abilities. Outstanding image and presentation, as well as the capability to work unsupervised, are also key qualifications.
