    The Accounting – Interline Officer will report to the Senior Revenue Accountant. The selected candidate will manage the Interline Department, coordinate the Interline processing activities, preserve Interline Revenue, and ensure compliance with established ACH/IATA/corporate policies and procedures in all matters related to the interline functions.

    Additionally, the incumbent must plan, direct and coordinate work activities to achieve expected production goals, recognize and recommend process improvements, and support the department in reporting, whilst keeping abreast of industry and company changes, train, mentor, and complete assigned project work.


    Key Deliverables

    • Compliance: Ensures compliance with all internal policies and procedures; ensures compliance with established ACH/IATA/RAM corporate policies and procedures, in all matters related to Interline functions. Keep abreast of Interline Airline Industry changes.
    • Reporting: Ensures the delivery of accurate and timely operational and other reports, with a view to supporting effective data analysis and decision-making.
    • Resource Management: Manages the Interline Department resources, including rosters, work assignment, physical resources, performance management, conflict resolutions, attendance/punctuality, training, and development.
    • Operational Effectiveness: Ensures the effective and efficient utilization of assigned resources, towards achieving goals.
    • Problem Solving & Analysis: Defines and identifies existing problems; determines the cause of the problems, prioritizes, and identifies alternatives for a solution and further implementation. Liaise with other Airlines on interline matters, to ensure accurate billings are maintained according to ACH/IATA/RAM/SPA, Corporate policies, and procedures. Defines and identifies revenue leakages, non-compliances to Interline Industry Standards and makes sound decisions on existing problems which require determining the cause of the problems and providing corrective measures to prevent future occurrences.
    • Customer Service: Builds a strong network for internal and external customers. Ensures the customer’s expectations are considered, customer’s enquiries are attended to in a timely manner and relationships with customers are professionally maintained in the best interest of Caribbean Airlines.
    • Training and Development: Ensures the department knowledge, training and development is kept abreast of all changes and updates with Flown processes. Adequate coaching and mentoring are delivered to develop high performance teams. Ensures company’s knowledge is sustained and secured.
    • Networking: Builds a strong network of colleagues and associates within the Airline industry, and within CARIBBEAN AIRLINES, upon whom he/she can call for information, knowledge and understanding as required.

    Requirements

    • You are required to have a minimum of Level 3 ACCA or a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Management Studies. A minimum of 5 CXC/GCE Ordinary Level passes, including Mathematics and English. You must also have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar position, with a minimum of 3 years’ proven history of effective Supervisory experience.
    • You must be proficient in MS suite, in particular Excel and Word and have a sound working knowledge of Passenger Service Systems (PSS), Passenger Revenue Accounting (PRA), SAP, or computerized accounting package and a strong knowledge of ACH and ICH procedures.
    • You must possess a sound Knowledge of IATA Revenue Accounting Manual (RAM), Special Proration Agreements, Passenger Proration, Interline Accounting and Controls, Fares and Ticketing Certificate, Knowledge of the ARC and BSP systems and working Knowledge of a CRS.
    • Knowledge of, and experience working in, the Aviation Industry, as well as a comprehensive knowledge of the revenue declaration process, and the total revenue accounting process, of an international Airline, would be an Asset.
