Job Description
As a Tower Agent, you will perform a variety of duties according to the functional work area assignment. However, in certain stations and under certain circumstances, personnel may be required to perform all functions
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Coordinates service activities and flight needs/changes with contracted service groups.
Monitors aircraft and FAA frequencies and ensures proper data is transmitted to internal and public information display screens and personnel
Manages all flights assigned to a specific area, including delayed departure time assignments, coordinates service needs, and communicates current state of the flight to appropriate personnel.
Monitors the inbound passenger/baggage connections, provides analysis and recommendations.
Directs the necessary resources to accomplish required ground services.
Practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.

Must be at least 18 years of age.
High School diploma, GED or High School Equivalency.
Must be proficient in English.
Should be proficient in communication skills: verbal, written, and listening.

Must be able to type a minimum of 30 WPM.
Should have strong analytical, organizational, and administrative skills.
Should be a self-starter and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Must be willing to work rotating shifts and days off.
Must possess strong customer service orientation.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills required for effective service.
Pass a post-offer pre-employment drug test.
Pass an extensive post offer pre-employment background check, including fingerprinting, audiogram and a criminal history record check required by federal law.
Be authorized to work in the US.
Be willing to work a fixed and/or rotating schedule including afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Where permitted by applicable law, must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for U.S.-based job, if not currently employed by Delta Air Lines, Inc.
Knowledge of OSS and RES automation systems is preferred.
Operational experience in Airport Customer Service (passenger service and ground operation) is preferred. A college-level education or its equivalent is preferred.
