    We have a fantastic 2-year apprenticeship opportunity for an ambitious individual who is looking to develop a career in HR.

    The 2-year training programme involves a combination of college and work-based training leading to the achievement of the Level 3 HR Support Apprenticeship.

    Successful completion of this standard will enable the individual to apply for Associate Membership (Assoc CIPD) of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), the professional body for the HR sector, if they take the qualification suggested and pass all of the assessments. The many transferable skills developed during this course provide a superb foundation for career pathways in HR as both a generalist or a specialist. On completion, the apprentice may choose to continue their studies with the chartered body to achieve further qualifications and ultimately chartered membership of the CIPD.

    Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Apprentice will form part of the HR Team and work closely with the HR Manager and the wider team to support the day-to-day operational activities.

    Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:


    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Recruitment and Vetting - support the HR team with recruitment activities, including advertising, liaising with agencies and third parties, the new starter process, onboarding and referencing activities.

    • Payroll - Ensuring all New starters, Leavers and Changes are processed

    • Audit compliance - all documentation in HR is up to date, accurate and meets the HR Audit requirements

    • HR Data - supporting the HR Analyst with the provision of HR data and ensuring all HR databases and or trackers are up to date

    • Learning and Development Support the HR Team with the creation and delivery of training

    • HR Advice – With the Support of the HR Manager to provide HR advice, guidance, insight, training and expertise ensuring the provision of HR interventions and solutions to meet the company’s objectives.

    • HR Projects - Support the co-ordination and delivery of business wide HR projects and initiatives

    • Administrative Tasks - Create new starter files and ensure all documentation is received and the file is complete and support the department with administrative tasks

    • Finance Co-ordinate and process payment of invoices

    • Undertake ad-hoc tasks which are required to comply with the apprenticeship standards


    Job Requirements

    • A minimum of 5 GCSE’s, including grade C/ Level 5 in English and Maths is essential.

    • Passionate about developing a career in Learning and Development and HR

    • Possess excellent organisational skills

    • A confident communicator, both verbally and written

    • Flexible and self-motivated

    • Positive in their approach with a 'can do' attitude

    • Develop own capability in the understanding and application of employment law, policies and practices to ensure consistency and manage risk and ensuring that the capability and knowledge is shared across the stakeholder groups to support with people related issues.

    • Proficient user of Microsoft Office (word, excel and powerpoint)

    • Be a visible role model for the company’s values and behaviours.
