We're looking for a Marketing Intern to join the Global Marketing department in our Brand and Advertising team. In this exciting role you’ll be involved in developing campaign activity supports the overarching goals of building brand preference and driving revenue.
The Undergraduate Intern position is a developmental assignment that provides interns with real-time work projects, leadership development opportunities, as well as an opportunity to learn about the company and the airline industry. Work projects involve assignments that are relevant to American's current business needs and opportunities. Interns are afforded travel privileges, enabling them to connect to the international and domestic destinations that American Airlines serves.

Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Duties and Responsibilities
Gain a holistic understanding of the Marketing team in the development and execution of advertising & media
Assist in building and executing strategic marketing plans that support a full-funnel approach
Support the brand and creative team in the development and execution of travel inspiration, consideration, and booking campaigns
Work alongside our media agency to plan paid media campaigns, deliver assets and optimize performance
Assist with project management throughout all aspects of the process including creative/media agency collaboration, co-op negotiations, asset creation, campaign implementation and performance analysis
Assist with marketing analytics & measurement, including collaboration with Revenue Management on data delivery for further analytics, building Adobe dashboards & pulling necessary stats from the platform
Job Requirements
Current undergraduate students majoring in Marketing/Advertising, Communications, or a related field
Exceptional project management skills with experience working effectively on multiple projects at once while under deadlines and balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders
Strong organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
Ability to apply creative thinking to campaign concepts and to solving business problems
Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management
Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Word and Excel with a strong emphasis on PowerPoint in particular
Willingness to travel, as needed
