Job Description
Reporting to the Coordinator, Cargo Sales and Reservations, and working with the cargo team as a whole, the Cargo Reservation Agent is responsible for taking cargo reservations in compliance with company policy and health and safety rules. The Cargo Reservation Agent has excellent technical knowledge, such that he or she is able to work somewhat autonomously, and has business sense. .
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Duties and Responsibilities
Cargo reservations
Takes reservations and confirms loading
Prepares and determines flight loadsheets Monitors compliance with instructions
Performs administrative tasks related to cargo reservation (documentation, research, filing and archiving of various files, statistics, settling disputes, preparing trucking export files, etc.)
Enters AWBs in the system and checks charges and tariffs
Reports regularly to the Coordinator, Cargo Sales and Reservations, on reservation activities for monitoring of files and effective decision-making
Business support
Provides information and telephone support to customers
Takes rate quotations
Develops and maintains good business relationships with customers
Reports regularly to the Coordinator, Cargo Sales and Reservations, on files in progress and customer contacts; sends important information gathered in daily business relations that could influence cargo sales
Participates in commercial visits as needed, based on the objectives defined by the Director of Cargo Sales
Sends commercial information to the sales force as needed
The Cargo Reservation Agent must demonstrate in his or her day-to-day work:
excellent interaction and close cooperation with different Air Canada Cargo stopovers, all colleagues in the Cargo Department at CDG and other departments in France and around the world
a strong ability to maintain excellent relationships with service providers and subcontractors

Post-secondary training in international business and/or transportation/logistics
Good French and English (written, read, spoken)
Knowledge of office technology (Word and Excel) and the Internet
Prior experience in cargo reservation with an airline an asset
Driver's licence as asset
Knowledge of the Roissy Charles de Gaulle airport an asset
