    Hawaiian flight attendants are responsible for ensuring the safety of passengers on company aircraft by performing safety procedures and assisting them in emergency situations. They work in a fast-paced environment, dealing with various personalities in an attentive and pleasant manner. Flight attendants provide consistent customer service in the aircraft cabin during flight, including food and beverage service, while providing an unsurpassed Aloha experience.

    Key responsibilities include attending preflight briefings, directing guests to their assigned seats, demonstrating use of safety equipment, walking aisles to check for guest observation of safety regulations, directing and assisting guests in emergency procedures, providing consistent food and beverage service, collecting and reconciling payments for onboard products, administering first aid, making written and verbal reports of emergency incidents, preparing guests and aircraft for landing, and completing annual FAA-approved re-certification provided by Hawaiian Airlines.

    Flight attendants must be able to learn and maintain current knowledge and competency of emergency procedures in accordance with Hawaiian and FAA's Regulations, be present to work alternative schedules, effectively interact with colleagues and guests, and recognize when something is wrong or likely to go wrong. They must also be able to work in climates and locations across the globe, fly at high altitudes, meet physical demands, assist ill or incapacitated passengers and fellow crew members, evacuate the aircraft in heavy smoke during a cabin fire, handle oxygen bottles and fire extinguishers, remove and lift emergency cabin windows, and jump down emergency slides from heights of approximately 24.5 feet.


    Requirements

    To succeed in this role, applicants must be at least 21 years old and possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent. A professional appearance is essential, as is exceptional customer service. Proficiency in both English and Korean is mandatory. To begin their career, candidates must successfully complete an unpaid, eight-week training program provided by Hawaiian Airlines. Physical requirements include a vertical reach of 82 inches and the ability to sit securely in a cabin crew jump seat. Additionally, candidates must pass a TB test, a pre-employment drug test, and meet legal requirements for employment and travel.

    Preferred qualifications include a college degree and at least two years of direct customer experience in hospitality or airline, or four years of customer service experience in retail, education, healthcare, or professional services.
