Job Description
This job is a member of the Flight Team within the Integrated Operations Division. Responsible for supporting line pilots and providing best in class administrative support under the direction of the Manager, Flight Administration. Additionally, responsible for the productivity of the office team when the manager is away from the base. Liaison with the director and chief pilots to ensure coordination of operational and administrative issues.

Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:

Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Performs a high volume of administrative work to meet deadlines for all tasks including pilot expense report review and research, schedule removal and coding updates, parking reimbursements, station badging requirements
Provides information to pilots about leaves of absence, FML, medical disability, military duty/leave/return and workman compensation claims
Facilitates pilot retirements including travel arrangements
Monitors FICA, sick usage and operational metrics as required
Supports and assists the director and chief pilots with ad hoc projects including investigations/implementation of policies and procedures/research gathering to answer or resolve pilot issues
Maintains confidentiality of office communications, including conversations and employee records
Includes and keeps the Manager Flight Administration aware of all issues and correspondence in the office to ensure productivity flow and avoid duplication of efforts
Understanding of policies, procedures, agreements, and budgeting function
Ability to understand and provide provisions of union agreements and company/federal regulations
Ability to read and understand letters and numbers to review data and perform mathematical calculations
Must be able to exercise sound judgment in completing administrative duties and supporting the administrative team which includes staff support
Work schedule will be Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm
Job Requirements
High School diploma or GED
2 years of job-related experience
Bachelor's Degree in related field
2 years' experience in Human Resources and/or Flight Department/Flight Service working with crew members
Previous experience in an airline training/scheduling experience
Familiarity with American Airlines Pilot contract and FAA regulations
