    The Sales Account Executive is responsible for improving Delta’s competitive position in the MCI/STL markets by maximizing premium revenue and market share with corporate and agency customers. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to deepening customer relationships, leading contract negotiations, and successfully executing strategic and tactical initiatives to drive market share and contract performance for all assigned accounts.

    Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:


    Duties and Responsibilities

    • The Sales Account Executive performs detailed analysis of data to identify opportunities and develop unique and customized strategies and tactics to drive revenue performance for DL and airline partners across the globe.

    • The Sales Account Executive collaborates with internal departments, including Corporate and Agency Sales Development, Global Sales Support, Revenue Management, Loyalty and Network to support B2B and B2B2C initiatives.

    • The Sales Account Executive maintains a high-level of industry and competitive knowledge to ensure full understanding of Delta's competitive position and collaborates with sales staff in other locations to develop effective selling strategies.

    • This position also requires strong community engagement, representing Delta and JV partners at local organizations and events, including but not limited to local Business Travel Associations as well as MCI and STL airport staff.

    • The position requires frequent travel, as well as some evening and weekend hours.

    • Responsible for Enterprise selling with current DL business stakeholders who manage ancillary lines of business, e.g., charter sales, DGS, Wheels Up, Amex cobranded card and Delta Vacations.

    • Must be available to work additional hours and/or days/evenings as needed, including weekends.

    • Must be proficient in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

    • Must be able and willing to establish a virtual office and travel to support assigned accounts.

    • Must be able to work effectively with minimal supervision but also work well in a team environment.

    • Possess an overall knowledge of company procedures and policies.

    • Consistently makes safety and security, of self and others, the priority.

    • Must be performing satisfactorily in current position.

    • In-depth knowledge of functional technology platforms including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, CDS/Prism, GAIN, SFDC and other internal Delta Systems.

    • Must have a current passport and the ability to travel domestically and internationally to represent Delta

    • Must reside/relocate to one of the locations mentioned above (timeline flexible)

    • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Sales or account management experience

    • Experience with B2B2C selling

    • Working knowledge of Delta and JV partner products and services

    • Knowledge of and experience with the marketplaces listed above
