Job Description
The Agency and Group Specialist will be responsible for managing, maintaining and developing travel agent, agency and group sales relationships across all touchpoints.
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Increase opportunities and market share through agency relationships
Promote distribution through direct agency booking portal
Manage B2B communications and marketing messaging
Provide a high level of personal support to key accounts by conducting in person sales calls on a quarterly basis or as needed
Act as an expert resource regarding air-only, ancillary, vacation packages, insurance and transportation products
Proactively focuses on growing sales outside of Minneapolis market
Share market knowledge and competitive information with various Sun Country internal teams
Analyze the financial contribution of distributor incentive programs and develop new sales strategies to generate incrementals sales
Monitor competitive activities in the marketplace and provide recommendations on strategy
Coordinate with reservations on agency servicing requirements and performance
Provide training to agencies and reservations on Sun Country tools and programs
Follow-up on escalated agency service issues
Organize agency tradeshows, seminars, and appreciation events as needed
Report weekly/monthly to management on key agency accounts
Any other duties assigned by management
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience plus two years of related experience.
Ability to make decisions and recommendations based on data and analysis
Proficient in Excel
Required Experience
Minimum 2 years’ experience in travel industry, GDS systems
Experience managing B2B relationships
Experience working in a fast paced, highly dynamic environment
Travel Agency experience
Experience with Power BI and Salesforce CRM tools
Preferred Experience
