Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Process and analyze employee safety reports while monitoring for potential hazards
Participate in Safety Risk Assessments, helping to ensure that hazards are mitigated before a new process or procedure is implemented
Support the coordination of internal and external safety audits across the network
Assist the Operational Safety Managers with safety event investigations and summaries
Help to promote our Safety Management System by assisting with the publishing of newsletters
Job Requirements
Internship positions are open to current undergraduate students in their junior year who are enrolled in a full-time course of study graduating between December ’21 and June ‘22
Academic focus in aviation, safety or a related field
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
Effective communication skills (e.g., verbal, written, and listening)
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum age of 18.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Familiarity with 14 CFR Part 5
Familiarity with FAA AC’s 120-66C & 120-92B
Previous employment within the aviation industry
