Duties and Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:

• Process and analyze employee safety reports while monitoring for potential hazards

• Participate in Safety Risk Assessments, helping to ensure that hazards are mitigated before a new process or procedure is implemented

• Support the coordination of internal and external safety audits across the network

• Assist the Operational Safety Managers with safety event investigations and summaries

• Help to promote our Safety Management System by assisting with the publishing of newsletters

Job Requirements

• Internship positions are open to current undergraduate students in their junior year who are enrolled in a full-time course of study graduating between December ’21 and June ‘22

• Academic focus in aviation, safety or a related field

• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)

• Effective communication skills (e.g., verbal, written, and listening)

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Minimum age of 18.

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with 14 CFR Part 5

• Familiarity with FAA AC’s 120-66C & 120-92B

• Previous employment within the aviation industry
