Job Description
This job is a member of the Cargo Sales Team within the Cargo Commercial Division. You will be responsible for growing revenue from a portfolio of assigned accounts by offering a competitive service and rates that are tailored to customer shipping requirements. This position is part of a centralized team that manages existing cargo accounts in our secondary cities and small/medium accounts in our U.S. hubs where direct lift and/or competitive trucking and narrow body service is offered.

Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Duties and Responsibilities
Promotes and sells American Airlines cargo products and services via phone/email
Negotiates and closes new business, prepares correspondence to support sales activities such as rate agreements and space allocations and guides customer usage of AACargo.com
Utilizes Cargo’s CRM tool to document all sales activities including business that is gained or lost, trends, etc.
Works with all workgroups within Cargo, including Operations, Revenue Management, Claims, and Accounting
Job Requirements
High School diploma or GED Equivalency
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Ability to operate in a highly competitive, demanding environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
College degree
Previous telephone sales or customer service experience
Knowledge of American Airlines Cargo products and services
