Job Description
Reporting into the Head of Continuous Improvement and Business Change, you will have an impactful role supporting the development of our airports, for today and for the future. You’ll lead business change programmes and activities as a key part of the technology product team.
You’ll drive the deployment and embedding of change programmes for key technology products and projects. You’ll own the delivery plan, land and embed change, from implementation through to benefits realisation.
Effective project management, delivering on time and on budget, using exceptional stakeholder management skills will be standard for you.
£49,500 starting salary
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Management of projects under the Business Change and Continuous Improvement remit, focused on operational change and airport business units.
Supporting the Airport Collaborative Decision Making (ACDM) and Connected Operations projects.
Accountable for creating and owning of a Project Plan to cover the lifecycle of the project, highlighting key business milestones and dependencies leading to a critical path for delivery and smooth implementation.
Progress Reporting and transparency of delivery via PCL.
Governance accountability, raising risks and challenges and keeping the project(s) on track.
Budget ownership & PCLs.
Driving the project team(s) through matrix management of resources to ensure effective delivery and quality is achieved.
Focus on leading business change for Technology-led projects. This includes developing and delivering training material, (e/g user guides and familiarisation plans); designing and delivering operational trials and implementation plans; documenting process and procedural changes; developing and delivering internal and external stakeholder comms plans and associated change plans.
Development and delivery of change management, impact and engagements plans.
Reporting on project and business case progress, and associated change management and administrative tasks.
Writing impactful business cases and capex papers.
Mapping and documenting Change Portfolio, via MAG Portfolio Dashboards, supported by Change Boards.
Job Requirements
A strong business change expert with experience of delivering leadership, cultural and behavioural change programmes.
Ability to lead, facilitate and document process change and process engineering using BPMN standards.
Thorough understanding of Project Management methodologies, including Continuous and Business Improvement.
Experience of working to formal Project Management Methodology (e.g. PRINCE2, APMP).
People change experience and preferably, associated qualifications e.g. Change Management, CIPD.
Preferably operational experience, given focus of the roles.
Evidence of driving teams directly and indirectly to meet challenging deadlines whilst providing a quality deliverable.
Excellent and effective stakeholder management and engagement skills, ability to influence and negotiate at all levels.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, tailored to the intended audience.
Committed, tenacious, acts with integrity.
Analytical, good problem-solving skills, coupled with strong commercial awareness.
Desirable previous experience of working in an aviation environment.
This role will support the Airport Collaborative Decision Making (ACDM) and Connected Operations projects – previous experience in implementing these, or similar projects in an airport environment is desirable.
