Job Description

Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:

Process and distribute incoming bulk mail volume from air carrier
Ensure the protection & safeguard of personnel, US Mail, and property
Safely and efficiently unload air containers off tractor-trailers
Pull large air containers across ball-decking/slave-pallets to the processing area.
Inspect air containers for damage & accuracy
Report damage and routing tags to the supervisor
Ensure that each mail unit is reviewed for proper mail type and zip code destination prior to being placed in the appropriate mail transport equipment (MTE), by verifying the routing tags on the mail properly match the MTE
Ensure that all mail units are handled with care so as not to damage any parcels
Ensure MTE leaving the sorting area are directed to their intended staging area
Ensure sorting areas are stocked & replenished with empty MTE once full containers have been removed
Assists drivers in loading full MTE from the staging areas onto tractor-trailers.
Ensures all mail is cleared from both the floor & air containers at the end of the operation
Other duties as assigned.

Must be 18 years of age or older
Possess a valid US Driver’s License
Minimum 5-year US Residency Required
Must pass pre-employment drug screen
Must meet Selective Service requirements (seesss.gov)
Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English
Ability to lift and move up to 70lbs
Must have reliable transportation to get to and from work.
Must pass background check and obtain US Custom seal
Must have a High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
