    The Sales Representative for WestJet Cargo will engage in direct interactions with clients that start and develop relationships and through these engagements, WestJet will achieve the best possible sales representation for WestJet Cargo. The Sales Representative will engage current and potential clients to understand their needs, understand and utilize product and service features, benefits and differentiators to address those needs and use selling skills to best position WestJet and achieve or exceed the assigned sales plan. The sales Representative will also support the Commercial organization to enhance WestJet’s cargo products as defined in our commercial strategy. The Sales Representative will finally work on increasing WestJet’s cargo visibility in the markets and eventually represent WestJet Cargo in Fairs, events and convention.

    You will work with freight forwarders, national accounts and key customers to promote current programs and offered by WestJet Cargo, uncovering opportunities and providing resolutions for challenges. You will provide competitive intel and recommendations by way of conducting sales calls, product updates and training, providing key account management in cooperation with Inside Sales Rep and Commercial Manager. It is an exciting time to join our Cargo team. In this role, you will work to increase our brand’s visibility in Canada and the markets where Westjet is present, and support the organization of fairs, events and convention where WestJet Cargo will be present.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:


    Job Requirements

    • 5 years outside sales experience with a track record of over-achieving quotas; direct experience with either air cargo, airline, freight forwarder or logistics experience preferred

    • Persuasive and goal-driven with hunter-type attributes

    • Strong communication, organization, and presentation skills

    • Experience working with CRM and familiarity with different sales techniques and pipeline management

    • Self- motivated and driven, with demonstrated initiative with the ability to work in a collaborative team-based environment

    • Logistic diploma or equivalent post-secondary education is an asset

    • Ability to travel; including a valid passport

    • Bilingual – French and English is considered an asset
