    Job Description

    The Duty Manager is responsible for all facets of day-to day operational tasks of the Central Baggage operational teams. The Duty Manager ensures quality, efficiency and consistency in the execution and implementation of operational policies and standards. The Duty Manager is responsible for operational targets and goals and serves as the primary point of contact for claims processing and call center operations, and oversees the Supervisors and Crewmembers in these areas.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:

    • Ensure that quality of customer service is in-line with the high expectations Customers have for JetBlue while avoiding the over-payment of mishandled baggage claims

    • Oversee communication and policy rollouts to the Central Baggage teams.

    • Manage the daily operations of a shift, including payroll issues, staffing and scheduling

    • Manage the operational performance by overseeing the daily call center operation to meet or exceed the established performance goals

    • Resolve Crewmember and Customer issues

    • Participate in ad hoc committees; respond to ad hoc requests to establish, develop or re-visit guidelines, policies and/or procedures as they pertain to the operation or the Crewmembers

    • Oversee the preparation of executive dashboards and VIP Customer response

    • Manages all operational Business Partner relationships and monitors performance and compliance.

    • Ensures that policies and procedures are conducted in accordance with applicable federal regulations and standards

    • Other duties as assigned.


    Job Requirements

    • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma

    • Five (5) years of Leadership experience

    • Able to travel and/or work flexible hours/shifts, including holidays and weekends

    • Must be able to read, write, and speak English

    • Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Services and Company required software and applications

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills

    • Strong Customer Service and Problem Solving Skills

    • Ability to work independently with a sense of urgency and attention to detail

    • Pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test

    • Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

    • Preferred Experience and Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree

    • Two (2) years of prior operational experience
