Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Develops, implements and optimizes cargo revenue management decision support tools and forecasting engines in close collaboration with internal and external subject matter experts
Responsible for cargo route network analysis, competitive intelligence, business case development, and strategy recommendations in coordination with broader cargo and passenger commercial teams
Develops and implements performance management systems that drive cross-divisional accountability, improve cargo flight performance oversight, reduce offloads, and optimize the utilization of available cargo capacity
Establishes close working relationships with Passenger Network, ACS, Load Control, Flight Dispatch, Performance Engineering, Operations Research, IT and other teams to drive awareness for Cargo business needs and contributions
Leads through demonstration of Delta's core values as outlined in Rules of the Road
Communicates a compelling view of the organization's purpose and values in a way that helps others understand the importance and impact of their contributions; advocates for others
Works with team members to develop specific behaviors, skills or knowledge needed to ensure sustained performance and to prepare for success in new responsibilities
Responsible for developing both strategic and tactical plans that create a safety conscious environment that results in employee safety and well-being
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Information Systems, or related analytical discipline
7 years of relevant business experience required
Must be able to quickly extract/analyze data, summarize results/conclusions and effectively present findings
Must be able to resolve problems by balancing relevant factors and grasp mathematical concepts related to cargo revenue management
Must have strong relationship and project management skills
Should have advanced expertise in Microsoft Office, SQL, and reporting/analytics tools such as SAS, R, Hyperion/Brio, and Cognos
Must possess strong written and oral communication skills
Should be familiar with airline economic concepts, predictive analytics, and process optimization
