    Duties and Responsibilities

    Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:

    • Responsible for managing and supporting a portfolio of +35 small/medium sized, mid-west based corporate and agency customers, representing $54MM in contracted revenue.

    • This position is ideal for someone with sales and analytical aptitude, interested in furthering their career in sales, and willing to relocate for future advancement opportunities in 1-2 years.

    • The primary focus of this role is to maximize Delta's revenue and market share opportunities through strategic account management, aligned with Delta's Flight Plan and our Global Sales organization goals.

    • Account management will mostly be done telephonically/webinar.

    • Travel and face to face customer interaction is also required to maximize key partnership opportunities.

    • The main responsibilities include identifying market share and new business opportunities, contract and RFP negotiation and implementation, customer relationship development, quarterly performance reviews, and a number of ad-hoc tasks supporting the organization goals.

    • The Sales Account Executive will be responsible for orchestrating team selling solutions in partnership with Corporate and Agency Business Development, Alliance partners, Delta Vacations, Delta Private Jets, Global Sales Support Center, local sales teams, etc.

    • The Sales Account Executive works closely with management to identify potential market share opportunities and/or solutions through analytics, to improve and maximize account performance.

    • She/he will also work with the appropriate stakeholders and business partners to resolve service recovery issues. The Sales Account Executive will also be responsible for providing timely customer updates on Delta's new routes, products, BTN campaign, etc.

    • Additionally, the Sales Account Executive will be expected to complete and submit weekly sales plans and activity reports of their assigned accounts.

    • The successful candidate will be responsible for practicing safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.


    Job Requirements

    • ​​​​Minimum of 2 years sales and account management experience is required.

    • Strong orientation towards consultative account management and understanding of how to create and maintain profitable business relationships with assigned accounts.

    • Excellent interpersonal and business decision making skills are required.

    • Proven analytical skills and ability to produce action plans based on data and market intelligence.

    • Demonstrated success with business development.

    • Must be able to manage change with resilience, and display tremendous drive and commitment.

    • Practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.

    • Strong skills in written and verbal communications, negotiation, time management, planning, and presentation.

    • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and ability to disseminate information professionally according to Delta values.

    • Must be proficient in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and preference for knowledge of Delta's reservation system.

    • Preferred Qualifications

    • ​​​​In-depth knowledge of airline industry, including Delta and joint venture partner carriers a plus.
