Lufthansa Cargo AG is looking for a motivated, qualified and proaktive student (m/f) who commits himself/herself to support our local team.Work in the Import and Export Department, as well as in the Sales Department Support the Terminal Supervisor and the Director of Sales & Handling in daily activities Familiarize with Import & Export operations
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Supporting the Terminal Supervisor and Director of Sales & Handling along with the Sales and Handling Teams in day to day activities and special projects
Assisting in the development of existing projects and reports
Preparing data for different topics and being active in the roll out of new processes
Making decisions to real- life experience in a business environment
Helping customers actively with dropping off and picking up freight
Writing emails and making phone calls with customers
Supervising all the active Imports and Exports operations
Capturing data, manifesting and controlling the flights
Gathering statistical data of flights and freight and keeping them for the records
Gathering and evaluating statistical data to improve gaps within the processes
Taking part in Team Meetings
Being part of a Regional Team and becoming an active player within the Team
Job Requirements
At the date of the internship you have completed at least the 2nd semester in Business Administration/ Management, International Business, Logistics, IT, Aviation, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering Transportation Management or any other related field
Enrolled during the whole period of the internship (please attach the current certificate of enrollment) or internship between Bachelor and Master studies (Gap-Year)
Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken), any other foreign language is a plus
Strong analytical skills, affinity to maths, experience with statistical analysis
Affinity to collecting and handling data
Ability to pick up new concepts quickly
Positive attitude, Team player and very good social skills
Very good skills applying and using IT systems and tools, especially MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Outlook
International experience is a plus
