Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
The Logistics Attendant position is responsible for providing 24/7 parts support to our Integrated MRO Customers to support their urgent and routine aircraft requirements. This includes resolving customer issues and handling all material shortages all while providing excellent Customer Service.
The Logistics Attendant position will be responsible for the ordering and movement of all parts required for customer exchanges and customer shortages through the SAP system and the Inventory Exchange Website. This entails contacting Inventory and Shop Analysts, verifying certification paperwork, creating STO Orders, and coordinating shipments with the Logistics Team.
Required to ensure compliance is maintained according to all Delta, FAA, ATA, IOTA, DOT, and OSHA policies and procedures as they relate to aircraft maintenance and part movement.
Always ensures compliance and safety practices are followed in all operational processes and procedures.
Required to process incoming Customer Components and Delta's Loans and Borrows. This involves creating IDD's and Shop Orders and closing out Loan and Borrow documents.
Job Requirements
Must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for U.S.-based job
Prefer four years education beyond high school and at least three years of experience in airline inventory management; or at least six years' experience in supply and inventory management, with three years of
Delta inventory experience; or an A and P license and one year airline mechanic experience, plus three years inventory control experience.
Candidate shall possess: flexibility to work rotating shifts and/or rotating off days; Customer Service Skills; prefer knowledge of TOPPS and Materiel Services' instructions related to Materiel Control.
Proficiency in interpreting materiel catalogs, overhaul manuals, drawings and technical manuals is desired.
Should be familiar with ATA systems and their applications and possess a general knowledge of aircraft and engine systems and operations.
Prefer knowledge of the SAP and MIRS/GEM computer systems.
Should possess strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to work with the many people, in all areas, both inside and outside of the company.
Must be performing satisfactorily in current position.
