This Customer Service Agent (CSA) Air Freight – Cargo Network Support (CNS) role works at the centralized help desk, assisting with Alaska Air Cargo internal cargo customer inquiries. This role ensures the ease of movement of cargo. This is a union represented position.

Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinate all phases of the Cargo Network Support operations with full authority to make decisions that are critical to maintaining company cargo operations and safety objectives.
Evaluates Requests for holds, passenger and cargo fleet adjustments, and charters and extra flying to optimize capacity and revenue.
Helps make recommendations to Manager of Cargo Network Support.
Is a liaison between System Operating Control (SOC) and Cargo Operations.
Manages internal help desk calls for over 90 cargo stations throughout Alaska Cargo Network.
Operate proactively during flight delays or cancelations.
Resolves logistical issues and provides customer support during irregular operations.
Verifies international shipments have proper local government requirements for shipping.
Works through customer complaints and assists with missing shipments.
Perform computer and paperwork tasks.
Perform duties in varying capacities at the direction of management to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
Job Requirements
A minimum of 6 months of customer service or community service experience.
Possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Typing speed of at least 25 WPM.
Able to participate in paid training.
Ability to consistently lift 50 lbs.
Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, reach and grasp.
Ability and willingness to work a non-traditional shift as needed (e.g., nights, weekends, holidays).
Ability to learn and operate a computerized cargo system.
Ability to adapt to performing work according to set procedures.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to communicate in English.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum age of 18.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
