Lufthansa Cargo AG, the market leader in the international airfreight industry, is looking for a motivated and proactive intern (m/f) with knowledge and interest in process and handling man-agement for their office in Chicago.
You will support the regional Head of Production in day to day activities and special projects applying theory knowledge into practical solutions. You will be working in a close-knit team of managers and will be expected to conduct yourself in a professional and mature manner.

Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Support the regional Head of Production with maintenance and further development of monitoring reports of key performance indicators
Work on various projects to improve Lufthansa Cargo’s production and handling performance
Support the development, preparation and communication of awareness campaigns in the area
Support the regional Production Managers by monitoring various logistic processes, analyzing process deviations and suggesting improvements
Create new databases involving incident management for aircraft and dangerous goods incidents
Support of several strategic projects in collaboration with all stations in the Americas and Frankfurt
Handle special projects as assigned
Job Requirements
At the time of your internship you should have completed the 2nd semester of your study program in logistics, industrial engineering, aviation management or business administration/ management with strong academic performance
Enrolled during the whole period of the internship (please attach the current certificate of enrollment) or internship between Bachelor and Master studies (Gap-Year)
You already gained practical experience during other relevant internships (domestic/international)
You have strong analytical skills, affinity to work with numbers and experience with sta-tistical analysis
You are able to pick up new concepts quickly and work independently
You have the ability to work on multiple assignments with tight deadlines
Experience with data analysis, charts required (VBA is helpful)
You are a team player and have very good social skills
You are savvy in the use of standard office software (MS Power Point and MS Excel are mandatory)
You must have very good communication skills in English (written and spoken)
Former experience in logistics, airline industry a plus
You possess a valid passport for the entire period of the internship
You are a citizen of the EU or have a German work permit for at least 120 full working days
You have a German bank account and a German tax ID number or tax certificate
