This job is a member of the Payroll Team within the Finance Division. Responsible for handling employee payroll questions via phone, chat, email, etc. .
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Explains and interprets complex payroll information to employees at all levels of the organization
Uses analytical skills to identify and address potential issues
Assists in specialized processing and assigned projects, requiring more detailed knowledge of payroll procedures
Reviews audit reports for processing errors and request corrections as necessary
Researches employee questions and provide resolution, as dictated by company policy
Organizes and maintains records to enable special processing that reduces the occurrences of incorrect payroll payments
Assists in special projects and testing of new processing systems
Provides training as needed
Communicates all discrepancies to payroll supervisor
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training
Ability to demonstrate above average customer service, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
Ability to work as a team player in a high stress environment
Knowledge of with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
3 years of business experience
5 years of working in a high volume payroll environment
Familiarity with accounting principles relating to funds disbursements, payroll tax statutory requirements and payment regulations
Familiarity with expense reporting and garnishment processing
CPP Certification
